Hi there, I produce a computer and video game TV show over at Channel m television called Re:Loaded, and I know this may seem like a bit of an odd request, but we'd love to do a piece on Ocean, some of the characters that worked there, the games they made and what people are doing now. If you're interested you can watch back eps of Re:Loaded online at www.channelm.co.uk/programmes/index/0/39/re_loaded.html With Channel M being mainly a Manchester based station, the history of one of the great British (and particularly Mancunian) software houses is the sort of story we'd love to cover. I'd really love to hear from as many of you as possible, my email address is both on the Channel m website and in my profile, so please do drop me a line if you're interested in any way. ta damian bowker

Sounds fun. There's still one or two of the old guys based in or around manchester and I'm just up the road in Liverpool so why the hell not?

Definately sounds like a good idea. I just sent a text to Gary concerning this, he is doing an interview with Newsround at the moment. I wonder if he'll meet John Craven

Thanks for the interest guys, and thanks for the emails, I've been out of the office most of the day today, but will be in touch with you all early next week.
In the mean time, if you get chance I'd love any feedback on the programme. We don't tend to do things in a completely conventional way and looking at some of the YouTube vids, neither did you guys and I'm hoping a little bit of that will come out.

Definately sounds like a good idea. I just sent a text to Gary concerning this, he is doing an interview with Newsround at the moment. I wonder if he'll meet John Craven I know you meant that as a joke, but I did actually believe he was still involved. Apparently he left the show about 20 years ago. Oh well. There was a really fit presenter who now reads the news - Ellie, I think her name is. I took her photo for the news item on our tech... wished I was 20 years younger. Well, if I can be of any help for the vid you want to shoot then please let me know. Unfortunately I am about 250 miles south of Manchester these days and it is rare for me to get back up that way due to that damn ankle bracelet.... EDIT: Just checked out some of the Channel M vids - excellent stuff, Damian!! Congrats!

I was going to call 'timewaster' on him, but re-reading his original request, he did ask that anyone interested should email or pm him. If no-one had done that and were relying on him returning to check this thread, then maybe that's the problem.....?
