Now, how hard was that??! I couldn't even get past the first level. God knows how the games testers tested it. It was nigh on impossible!

*laughs* It was blummin hard wasn't it? However, the arcade version is just as tough.
Was there ever a 128k version released? My friend has Athena on a pack with Head Over Heels, Batman 3D and a few others, and it only had the 48k one on there.
I've seen a few archives on the net with a 128k version, but upon downloading it I discover it's the 48k one.

There definitely was a 128 version. I have the cassette and its listed as being 128 and I remember 128 music on it too.
I've just been in my mums attic digging out my old Ocean folders and I still have literally thousands of old Spectrum games. Boxes and boxes of them. On a quick glance I saw a box that contained 4 'Avalons', 3 'Dragontorcs', all the old Ultimate games, some big black boxed games like 'Tir Na Nog (i saw 2 of those), Valhalla, all the Ocean games that came out while I was there, lots of the big yellow Beyond boxes (I got 'Doomdarks Revenge' still shrink wrapped!), mulitple copies of 'Trashman', '3D Ant Attack, 'Jet Set Willy' and 'Manic Miner'. I think I must have almost every game I had as a kid on copy as an original up there plus a thousand others.
When I left Ocean I worked at a computer shop and we bought in 2nd hand games. Whenever I saw an old 'classic' I nabbed it for meself, even if I did have it already.
In fact, the weight of them, when I put them all in the attic actually cracked the ceiling of my mums bedroom, there's so many.
What can I do with them? I don't want to throw them away, some are over 20 years old now. I can't part with all them but there's so many. But I'm not actually ever gunna do anything with them other than look at them from time to time. Is there not some archive I can donate my duplicates to?
