Another question that hopefully Gary won't mind answering for me. In the "The Making Of Target: Renegade" article that appears in the latest issue of Retro Gamer, it states that Ocean were outbid on the license of Double Dragon. Is that true? Also, if it were true do you think that you would have chose Mike Lamb to convert it to the Speccy?
I know that these are a couple of strange questions, it's just that I'm a big fan of Double Dragon and I was rather miffed with the conversion that Binary Design done for Melbourne House and had always hoped that Ocean were going to convert it.

Can't really give a definitive answer for that. There would have been other factors to consider such as: 1) Were there other projects similarly/more suitable for Mike's skills? 2) Did Mike WANT to do it? I suppose in an ideal world then, yes it is likely he would have done it. However, it really is a very hypothetical question and I do dislike dealing with 'what ifs', However, you are always so polite with your questions.....

Yeah, it certainly is a "what if?" question. Thanks for answering it anyway Gary!

Just an update - Double Dragon 1 and 2 was re-written for the Speccy and Amstrad By Virgin - Richard Aplin did the conversion.
The CPC is basically ported from the Amiga with less colours.

I knew about the other Amstrad version, but not a Speccy version. Can you shed any light on this?
