Maybe some people have better things to do with their time than just keep checking out forums.

No, f*ck this. You want to make this public? Then OK I don't care!
Simon, I'd appreciate if you didn't make sarky comments on the group. You have no idea about what happened to me, you have NO idea! It's NOT just a question of 'pulling yourself together' , as you evidently seem to think.
For f*cks sake, I had to admit myself to Accident and Emergency becuase I thought I was going MAD! You have NO idea what being in that state does to you, your body and more so your head. It is WORSE than anything I ever had happen to me. So please don't make veiled comments to me sitting on the computer all day reading forums. I find that offensive and childish. I fill my day and keep myself busy. I'm not ALWAYS sitting here, even if Yahoo or MSN says I am. I am getting there but comments like you have been making recently, usually on Yahoo Messenger, don't help. So don't make them PLEASE.
If I had a choice of either going through all that again or having my leg broken with a hammer I would EASILY choose the hammer. You see, then people can SEE that you have a broken leg, there's a plaster cast and a crutch! Then people wouldn't make dumb assumptions that because you don't LOOK ill that you aren't. When the plaster's off and you're walking properly then it's obvious you have recovered. It's not like that when your head goes tits up.
I lost my mind. My insides felt like my body was revving up too fast but there wasn't anywhere to go. 24 hours a day. I was in a panic non stop. It was worse than any nightmare I'd had, but the difference was I couldn't wake up from this one because it was real! At one point I was going to see a vicar because the only thing I could work out what happened was that I'd been possessed by an evil spirit. Yeah, seems funny, even to me now, but then it was very real. For months no one could tell me what was happening to me.
Try reading up on 'General Anxiexty Disorder' and Severe Depression on the internet. Then maybe in a few YEARS you'll be in a position to make comments on how I can go about things. Until then, you don't have a CLUE about what happened to me so, please, refrain from making out you do.
Say what you want, I'm not saying anymore on the subject. I shouldn't even have had to have written this post. Cya Simon

What I actually meant was that precious few people even visit this site anymore in case you hadn't noticed...
It was a novelty at first and once they'd all said hello and rubbed cyber-shoulders with old workmates it soon lost its charm and they stopped coming.
oh dear...conclusions are so easy to jump to aren't they?
Especially when they're incorrect.

Wow. I wasn't expecting to read that. Anyway, the reason for a lack of visitors might be because no new content has been added to the site for a few months, also since the Staff only section has opened on the forum, us normal people can't read the juicy bits that we are really interested in

Don't kid yourself. There's not much there - honestly.
Seems most entries are on the General Board...

I'm not at all surprised that there aren't many posts at the moment.
Of all the time on the net I have been subscribed to groups (comp.sys.sinclair, World Of Spectrum Forums), there are periods of time where posts just dry up. Not everyone can keep posting stuff 24/7. It's just not possible.
Right now for instance on CSS, it's been pretty dead there for a fair few days. But it will pick up again soon. It will do here too.
I think it's only totally fair that there is a private members section only here. I mean, this was all set up for the benefit of the ex-Ocean employees, and they will want to discuss and organise things privately. However, you can quite clearly see from the number of posts that it's not been busy there either!
I myself am not worried. This site is here to stay, and it's a valued asset to the retro community, posts or no posts.
Mark - I was a Manic Depressive in the past. I feel for your pain. But I also understand that you may have gone off at Simon for all the wrong reasons. Maybe a deletion or rebuttal of your post might be in order?

Mark, I am a firm believer in the written word of the Lord and the power of heartfelt prayer and I only hope that those who malign you may one day see the error of their ways. I have read your posts and visited your website and while I am troubled by your persuasion I will pray for you and hope that the Lord will enter your heart.
