I've been playing this game (the one where you play as Gomez to avoid any possible confusion) quite a lot and there are a couple of things that bug me. The manual hints about some hidden stuff that nobody seems to be able to find. I have asked around but to no avail. Maybe you guys can help ? - The manual says something like "all the music manuscripts can help you in your quest". Does the one in the middle really trigger something ? - Is there something hidden in Fester's room ? There is a visible dollar bag, but the manual hints about something even better. - Are there more than 4 secret rooms ?
If all goes well, I hope I will be able to produce a speedrun for this game to be hosted on speeddemosarchive.
I don't know if the people here just didn't know the answer to my questions or if I was just ignored. If it's the latter, it's a little bit uncool, but nevermind.
Anyways, I just wanted to say that my speedrun project resulted in two runs for Addams Family. One with death abuse and one with no deaths. They were done on a console (PAL-version) with standard controller, no cheats etc. They have been verified and are now available to the public on www.speeddemosarchive.com . I thought maybe one or two of you nostalgic souls out there would be interested...
No problem. Thanks for your reply zombie13, I see your point. I'm well aware of gamefaqs. I have even written a few guides for that site myself and I made sure to read the Addams Family guide in order to see if I could pick up something for the planning of the speedruns. However, the gamefaqs guide asks the same questions as me. I don't think Addams Family for nes is much played nowadays, so if the answers to my questions haven't been found yet by the gaming community, it's probable that they will never be found. I guess the only ones sitting on that piece of information would be those with inside info from the time of programming the game. Or maybe there is a "code" among programmers about not to reveal their game's deepest secrets ? :-)
