How many have been remade so far, and how many are not done yet? Here's something to start you off... I myself have made PC versions of two OCEAN games, NOMAD and Transversion. (Assuming that the original authors dont mind them being done of course) I had a message from Chris saying he liked what I had done with Transversion and that it still had a place in his heart as his first pubished game. Also someone posted on my forum called TheLost who said he was the coder for the Spectrum and CPC versions of NOMAD and thought the remake was pretty good. So me is pretty happy!

I would be very interested to speak to TheLost who claims he wrote Nomad because as Gary pointed out Ian Weatherburn coded Nomad and he is dead.

Actually now I go back to my forum and read it again TheLost said they "worked on NOMAD" rather than coding it - I hope its not someone claiming to be someone whos died, because thats a bit sick. Me and my big mouth posting about this. I have no idea of an email address I'm afraid as it was a guest posting, but of course the IP address is logged in the forum. This is not going to be much use however unless they have a static IP?

Well it doesn't matter what they say they did on NOMAD because they didn't do jack... as I said there was me, Ian and fat-lad Roy Gibson so unless it's Roy Gibson which I very much doubt...whoever it is is just lying through their teeth.
Roy would have known there were three versions of Nomad because he and Ian were very good friends back then.
But this character claims to have worked on the Speccy version, the cpc version and is ignorant of the fact that there was a 64 version.
he's a weirdo whoever he is.

Thanks for putting the record straight. I guess that's one of the problems with the internet... It's way too easy for people to pretend to be people they are not. I would have been non the wiser, niave trusting boy that I am if I hadn't posted here. I don't think I dare ask what you think about the remake though. lol. At least Chris was the real deal....? I hope so.
