Today I was taken downstairs at the old Ocean offices and went into the dungeons where me, and lots of you, used to work.
Was VERY bizarre being back there after all this time. I took some photos and have sent them to Bill for the site (I think).
The things that made me have the biggest flashbacks was the stairs leading up to the locked exit and the tiny kitchen. They both look exactly the same.

Awesome, cant wait to see the pics... I only got to work at central street for a few weeks before the move to castlefield. I was so fucking excited to get to work there, down in the crypt, everyone there was complaining and couldnt wait to get to the new offices, I was lapping up being down in the dungeons... I remember having to walk down the the dark alley of testers, no lights, just faces dimly lit from the screens.. it seemed like there were a lot more testers hiding away in there as when we moved to Castlefield it suddenly seemed like there was tons of them cos you could see them all at last...

how'd ya manage that?? is it empty now?? I just asked one of the 'Friends' on reception, going in through the double doors at the front of the buliding. I explained who i was and why I wanted to go down and she took me. She took me in through the toilet door! Took me a few seconds to realise where I was! I hadn't been through that way since, oooo, 1991! It was freaky, like going back in time. The place is rented out to small companies, it looked like it was divided up into 4 or 5 sections. Like the main room when you come down the stairs which was Garys office when I started was locked and had on the door 'Black Labrador Community Art'. The door that led down to the furthest away section, where Jon Dunn, Butler, Meegan and Wahid used to work was locked too. As was too the door that led into the first main area past Gary's office. Though I did go in at, like, 4.15, people were locking up and going home. Just being down there was enough to gimme the shakes!

Perhaps we should get the dungeons listed as a historical landmark. It wouldn't suprise me if the quackers don't get rattled by the sudden peak of interest after all these years. The weird thing is that I had builders in last year.. and the next job they were going to, were the Ocean dungeons.. How's that for a coincidence. Hey Mark was it still standing or had the partitions caved in?

I was back there today loitering with my camera and generally looking suspicious. Am I right in thinking you left the Quaker building and moved to Castle Street in Castlefield in 1993? I've got some pictures I'd like to post and wanted to get my facts straight.
What made you want to move on? Was the lease up? So little has been written about what happened after the relocation. Do you not have such fond memories of the new digs?
