There've been a few articles in the papers lately about Alan Sugar and how he is going to play the Donald Trump role in the UK version of 'The Apprentice'.
I remember going to meet with him with a gang of programmers (artists too?) to discuss Amstrad's 'next generation' computer. Does anyone remember that meeting (pretty sure Mike Lamb was there).?

Hey gary,
That was me. I went with you to the Amstrad offices and there was a technical meeting at which they presented and looked for input for the GX4000 (I think). There was also a marketing meeting that I had to endure too, at which I remember one of Mr Sugars employees awkwardly presented sales projections etc., at which point Alan Sugar piped up from the back of the room...
"Speak up the can't fuckin' 'ear you!" - What a charmer!

Ha! Hi, Jamie. Great to hear from you. I think the last time I saw you, you were with Allan Shortt?
Hope all is well. Yeah, Alan Sugar was a little like Paul Harrison (but with more money!!)

Hi Gary, Doing good - Thanks. How are things with you? I've been out in Sunny Southern CA for the last five years and have - still - managed to keep my pale Scottish skin-tones. All of those years in the Ocean crypt probably played a part in my inability to tolerate direct sunlight I remember Paul Harrison. That was a day when I had a valuable life-lesson. That being, not everyone relies on their wit to resolve conflict. Still, some good things came from it. I got a nice parking spot at the Castlefield Car Park instead of out front at the warehouse...

Hey Bill,
Great site! I've seen it now - thanks!
Quite bizarre seeing that after all these years (14?). Actually always annoyed me that they pulled that question out of nowhere about the influence of video-game violence. I was expecting a few minutes of here's the game we're working on... blah blah.

Did you guys at Ocean think the new Amstrad GX4000 was shit?
I was talking to Mr Pickford about his Gazza II conversion for the machine. Oh and he told me about the famous game Total Rewrite, whilst he was working with you guys. lol
Amstrad must of been taking the piss releasing an 8-bit console so late? Especially one with Hardware sprites nearly as slow as the CPC's software sprites. I dunno, maybe they were just desperate.
