Always wondered (as it was after my time) - what the HELL was all that "Tribe" malarkey about. How many titles actually surfaced from that expensive developer rebranding - Silver was one... what about the rest? What's the inside dope on HMS Moneypit, err, I mean Carnage?

just silver... which barely made it out of the door.. that all admitted, as far as rebranding excercise, it could have worked.. for god's sake we had the founder and a member of legendary design house designers republic helping us out on the ID front, but due to the lack of any modern thinking on behalf of 90% of devstaff (I rememeber "black orb software" was pressed as an option) and management , the entire corporate ID thing never started... strangely.. I reckon if we hadn't have bought one of these for the utterly abortive HMS carnage, I reckon things may have been different as far as Tribe's "future" was concerned...

Actually Last Rites / Dawn Of Darkness made it out aswell Bri. Although best not mention that one ;D
F**k me, imagine how much wages they could have paid if they hadnt bought that Onyx.
Didnt Infogrames manage to finally sell the Onyx recently?

ahh yes.. dawn of darkness.. a very oxymoronic title..
the one that was touted in edge to be having "a world the size of london"
i reckon that onyx is rotting in a skip somewhere.... along with the SGI's
who was that greek guy that did absolutely nothing, apart from load up prebuilt meshes, on no projects at all for about a year, apart from swear and violently kick his SGI..??

Yeah, to me. They'd been trying to sell them for years, so I generously slipped them £40 and have had them converted to a rather swanky double fronted fridge.
The biggest problem was undertaking 4 big PC based projects all at the same time. I'm not too sure how long Last Rites was in development but that was out of the door first and then part of this team started working towards a Babylon 5 demo. HMS Carnage was in development for about 4-5 years, Silver around 3-4 and Zoiks 3.
During the development of these projects I don't remember anything else going out of the door. The plug was finally pulled on both HMS Carnage and Zoiks, there were lots of redundancies and only Silver was finished.

I am, yes .. but look at that picture you posted. I think that Onyx missed its true calling.
