This year sees the second Classic Gaming Expo UK, and we'd love to get the Ocean team back together to come and do either some Q&A sessions or just to mingle and meet some of the people who "idolise" you and the Ocean games I'd be very happy to hear from you all either on this board, or over at ours - www.cgeuk.com/forumIt's going to be a cracking event - MUCH bigger and better than last years.

Dangerous territory, mate. Such an invitation can create bar-bills of obscene proportions!!!

I'd do it, anything for a laugh. And it'd be great to see some of the old fellas/girlies!

If Chris says that this years event is going to be even bigger and better than last time then it's going to be a weekend not to be missed. I remember waking up on both the Saturday and Sunday mornings feeling as rough as buggery after two late night drinking sessions. Well worth it! I'd do it, anything for a laugh. Your Sinclair always seemed to have a soft spot for him, and I remember one very good article with him in. I must dig it out.

Sounds like fun. I only live about 45 minutes from Croydon, so I'll put it in the diary! Cheers, Gary

I should just mention that this event is not NOT taking place in Croydon.
Instead, it takes place from 1-4 September 2005 at London's ExCeL - we are co-hosting with GameZone Live (formerly Game Stars Live).
Our web site will be updated on Feb 5th 2005...

So the date and the venue have now changed?
Bugger. I only booked some days off work because of it last week.

So if any of us ex-Oceaners turn up, how do we make ourselves known to the organisers?

If you expect that you ARE going to make it, please visit our forums at www.cgeuk.com/forum and send a private message to me - "Christopher (CGEUK)" with your name and full contact details, and we'll get passes/badges made up...

I'd booked the Friday off work (as I need to get up there), and the following week (because I'm a lazy bast). Actually, it'll give me an opportunity to get some DIY done that week. I made sure I didn't book-up all my hols, so will probably book off a Friday and Monday in September. I'll wait until you give the `all clear` this time

Might be interesting just to see the various waist and hair lines.
Mine is somewhere down the back of my collar. and that's my waist.

Could I just ask all ex-Ocean staff to come and make themselves known on my forums at www.cgeuk.com/forum - if you are attending, and fancy being a "special guest" (especially with your ex-colleagues) to hold some Q&A sessions, meet your adoring fans etc, please let me know, and get me some photos so that I can put them on our main page...
