What was the name of the lad (Nick something) who did all the BBC conversions? Daley Thomson and the like.
I remember me and Mike Lamb being particularly impressed at the progress he made whenever he came in during his University breaks.
I would not be at all surprised to find out he's a captain on industry now, or has his own IT services conglomorate etc.

Wasn't it Nick Sheard? He's the one in the front on that group pic on the stairs. I only know cos there's a page from Microhobby with that pic in and a key to who everyone is and what they did. Oh, it says he worked on the PC. Well, erm... Gary?

Yeah, I remember Nick. I tried Googling him a while back, but, although there were a few people sharing that name, none really fitted the description/time frame.
Very bright guy. He came in during each summer holiday and actually completed a conversion in that short time. Nice fellah too, I remember.
Hmmm. When I get a mo, it might be worth giving him a shot in Friends Reunited..... It would certainly be intereesting to see what he was up to now as you say, John.

Yeah Nick used to rattle stuff out - his version of Wizball on PC was the best of the conversions by a mile.
Smart lad. Probably retired on his own island now!

hey guys - sorry its taken me over 10 years to get here! hope some of you are still active here.
I stumbled across the book 'Ocean - The History' and wondered what else was out there - hadn't realised this site existed - duh!
Thanks for all your kind words! I had a great time at Ocean - it was so exciting - left a really good impression on me.
I'm still in the computing industry and still code for a living, but unfortunately not games since my Ocean time and have switched 6502/8086 for Java these days!

Nick, I just bobbed in here and saw your post from months ago! You may be better off letting your whereabouts known on the FB group I run which is a lot more active. Be good to hear from you. I'm one of the people in the group photo that you were in. www.facebook.com/OceanSoftwareLtd/
