Chase HQ 2:SCI on Amstrad CPC. What happened?

It seems that someone over on the CPC Zone forum (www.cpczone.net/boards/viewtopic.php?t=1341) has got a copy of SCI for the Amstrad GX4000 console thingy.

It was generally believed that this game was never released due to the faliure of the GX4000, but this copy seems genuine

I wondered if any ex-Ocean employees knew the story behind the CPC version of this game. On another thread someone claims Ocean produced 1,000 of these carts, but later recalled them.

Can someone solve this mystery?

Retro Gamer also did a feature on this very subject... the guy who owns a copy brought it through a mail order company in 'Amstrad Action'. The feature they did shows pics of the cart and screenshots of the game. However; I'm still skeptical about the whole thing and for all we know 'Retro Gamer' could be playing their readers for fools. They also included a review, and apparently the game played like a badly curled poo.
