You are being very modest there - you and Warren made a great team and the games you made together were excellent as a result. Warren was a smashing lad. He was quiet, but very decent and also uproariously funny when he decided he wanted to be. I remember us all arching our eyebrows as he spent all his initial earnings on obscure occult books. His collection must be worth a fortune now.
Addams was probably the most playable game to roll out of Ocean. And it wasn't down to chance.

Yeah Warren was/is a great guy. Where is he now? Anyone? Gary - that was a great trip to NY. All these years though and I was convinced that I was essential part of that DC meeting I had no idea that was your first trip to NY though. So many firsts for me... My first trip to NY (only been back once more); my first Strip Club (maybe a few extra since); My first Eggs Benedict (I love 'em); My first helicopter trip... In fact Gary's you've been responsible for so many of my - ahem - first times...

Wazza was an utter star - he worked for us until summer last year (we bought out Z2) - not seen him since - it was a real loss for us.
I used to go down to the Z2 offices and he'd be there late (as usual) and would chat about progressive meshes, procedural landscapes, global illumination - you name it; he understood it in the context of the art path and the design.
Truly a technical artist if there ever was one.
Did he work for you at Sourcery at some point?

On a related note, funnily enough I got an email from Dave Gibbons yesterday - check this out: watchmenmovie.com/As for Warren, the last time I saw him was when he was working at Allan's company, but that was 6 years ago. It would be good to make him aware of this site... and Martin MacDonald and Don also.

Gave up smoking a month ago (finally!) and the nicotine depravation is playing havoc with my sleep patterns.
Well, at least I'm not too cranky!

I'll try to coax him onto this list, he's aware of the site, he's probably just not had the chance to post anything.
Yeah, Warren is a top bloke. Great and easy going to work with, very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft and with no ego attached, and a fair bar football player to boot !!
Audio for the most part is treated as an aside, an afterthought to most projects, but he's one of the few people I've worked with that is very 'hands on' with all aspects of a projects development.
Dean.

No we don't work together, sorry if my post read like that. I'm just talking about the times I worked on projects with him back at Ocean.
I'll pass on your regards, but hopefully he'll get the chance to post on the board.

My all-time favourite was Addams Family. As mentioned above ...it felt like a real game...a Nintendo game... If we hadn't been pinched for time and we'd been able to slot in all the levels Warren had planned I do believe it would have given Mario a run for its money. Pugsley was fun, but I only did the main sprite...an evening's work that I shouldn't have even done but I overheard Gary saying the main character needed to be changed from Gomez to one of the kids. So I did Pugsley and presented him to Warren and James the next day. But Addams was fun from start to finish. It's the best brief I have ever been given...."draw some sprites". I was never happier. I even enjoyed the stupidity of taking photographs of my hand for the intro sequence... Warren slotted it all together with the box and the logo and it worked like a dream. That was the perfect project as far as I'm concerned. I do think a lot of the other guys were a tad jealous of Woz and James...seeing them as the golden boys...but what the heck. Actions speak louder than words and there were precious few actions from the malcontents. Especially stinkbug and his diminuitive and dimwitted partner down the hall. What a twisted pair of numbskulls. All they ever did was gripe. And I ended up working in a room with the useless pair of bastards when we moved. I still feel dirty when I think of it. Add Shamus O'sh*tbag to the equation and I don't know how I stopped myself throwing one of them through the window. Well I couldn't have lifted that bogtrotting sack of crap if I tried. But the other two f**kwits! No wonder I'm bald. Those two actually had the opportunity to have a pop "game-wise" at Addams with their very own Snes title and instead they get wrapped up in petty snipings and interpersonal backbiting with Useless O'Gobsh*te behind them like some great fat shadow. Jesus! I'd best go and have a lie down...the very thought of that trio of tw@s just makes my blood boil. Still...they excelled themselves with Green lantern! Vengeance is mine!!!

Especially stinkbug and his diminuitive and dimwitted partner down the hall. I'll probably regret asking this, but who are you referring to? I genuinely don't knowPlease PM me if you don't want to go 'public'. NOTE: OK - Someone told me. Ta.
