The Retro scene has really picked up steam recently and fantastic new software is being produced again for Spectrum/C64/Amstrad/BBC/etc. thanks to Cronosoft and such. John Pickford, of ex-Binary Design, has said that anybody writing games for the Spectrum is pretty much mad.
What do any of you think resurgence if new titles being produced and those still involved in still producing them?

John Pickford, of ex-Binary Design, has said that anybody writing games for the Spectrum is pretty much mad. I think I'd have to agree with him.

has said that anybody writing games for the Spectrum is pretty much mad. I should point out that that should be "has said that anybody writing games for the Spectrum today is pretty much mad."

I should point out that that should be "has said that anybody writing games for the Spectrum today is pretty much mad." Anyone who worked at Ocean and wrote Spectrum games then was mad. And not 'pretty much'....The whole nine yards. This was the main reason all of the walls in the development floor were padded. Fact.

"Steeeeeeeveeee 'Catweasle' Watssssooon." Didn't he just go before he'd even finished 'Wizball'? I seem to recall Paul Ownes OwENS finishing it off. Did he have a girly strop? Not enough incense in the basement? No herbal tea available for staff? Or did he just 'give up'?
