Hiya, it seemed as though there were some Ocean games that sometimes dribbled out with no fanfare or mention, mostly a long time after you would have expected them.
Two come to mind for me...Tank, the SNK spectrum conversion ended up on a Dixon's promotional compilation and never had a commercial release, and the Amiga conversion of Renegade, which seemed to roll up out of nowhere 5 years too late on The Hit Squad. Any reasoning/thoughts on these bits? In the case of Tank, was it deemed not worth giving a full commercial release (it is pretty shocking, but then very few of thos rotating joystick SNK games translated well to the home computers)
Were there any others which were released long after they should have been?

Were there any others which were released long after they should have been? The Amiga version of Head Over Heels. I think this was a fan conversion which Ocean snapped up. Can someone here confirm that? The one disappointing thing about this was the lack of wonderful music present in the Spectrum (and probably other 8-bit versions too) version. Guy Stevens did a fantastic job with that AY chip!

I believe it was Colin Porch (Fossil) who did the 64 conversion of HOH also did the 16 bit versions. He certainly did the ST version (he did it whilst learning 68000 assembly and having just finished the 64 version).
Pete Clarke did the 64 music and SFX, but he had well left before the 16 bit versions where done.
