Hmmm. That's a couple of years old, but reassuring nonetheless.
There's a link there to a Wizball 'shrine' site(!). Funny some of the misconceptions that exist out there - they are quoting Sensible bemoaning the fact that Wizball was released on the NES and they were never paid any royalties on the 'millions of yen' the sales generated. Uhhh... sorry. The game sold zip on that format (and wasn't even released in some territories). Truth be told, Wizball didn't sell fantastically on any format, despite great reviews and lots of hype. It was a superb and original game, but for some reason didn't capture the imagination of the game-playing public. Could never fathom that one out.

Didn't even realise there was a NES version.
There were a lot of mis-conceptions back then that everyone was doing "Elite" (the game!) style deals and Elite like numbers.
Its fascinating reading some of the articles on the main site about what was considered a massive best seller back then (150,000 units) and the cost of dev was £50K a title!
These days if you don't break 500K units you ain't going to get past the advances and break into royalty!
