I was too... I was only 22...
For some reason you seemed to like my work, and you hired me for what at the time was an obscene amount of cash to me. Put me in Martin Galways old office, AND put me on a bunch of top titles. Then you had Dean working away in an alcove churning out stuff that I thought was way better than mine.
I used to walk half a mile to get the bus into Dewsbury, walk another half mile from the bus station to the train station, take a 45 minute train ride into manchester, and then walk all the way down to oceans office from there.. All that *Just* to be there...
I was thinking about it last night, actually Robocop 3 was the first thing I did for ocean for the PC..

Great avatar, BTW!! The reason Dean was consigned to the alcove was that his condition prevented him from exposure to sunlight. Remember that first time we noticed he had no reflection in the mirror? Oh, how we laughed! That was the reason, of course, we were able to pay you so handsomely. Dean just required a daily pint of O-negative and the odd virgin every month. It was quite a challenge to find one of those in Manchester, I can tell you. Robocop 3 was your first inhouse title? I recall you doing Nightbreed when you were still at 'that place' in Dewsbury. I also remember MH keeping me well away from you in case I tried to entice you away from where you were working. Didn't work, did it?

Here's a thought - let's all help plug Gazza's company and get DigiMask Avatars - in the words of Tescos "every little helps!"
I'm sure there would be a bulk discount ;D

What's discount on 'free' anyway?? No, please do me a favour and don't. I can imagine all these ghastly heads bobbing around - they'll scare the punters!! I do actually appreciate the thought, Paul. Thanks. If anyone wants some of the software to play with, drop me an email

Hi, I'm just going to be doing a write up on Universal Monsters and was wondering if its true that Chris Butler had a role on programming this game also? A few sources have suggested he did, and even one magazine mentioned an interview with Chris where he said the game was 90% complete. Thanks
