May I be so bold/rude (delete where applicable) to ask what happened with Dragon Ninja on the Amiga? I quite enjoyed the C64 version despite a lot of people not liking it, but what happened with the Amiga version?
The lack of a jump move meant it wasn't possible to get between the two containers on the truck without losing a life. Then you lost another life when you had to get to the truck's cab. So you only had one life remaining for the rest of the game.
Amiga Power slammed the game, giving it 4% in AP8. Although the graphics were good, it seems they marked solely on that fatal bug.
Does anyone here know the background for this game? Was the jump removed at the last minute due to memory constraints or something? Could you originally walk right along the truck and the gaps were put in at the last minute? Or just a complete cock-up on the programmers part?

Wasn't this one of the first games by Ocean France? With a mark of 4% shouldn't that have been the first AND last?

it was the first game I had in Amiga. From what I remember the controls were very weird.. but I was able to jump in truck wagons, I guess.
To jump and advance at once you had to press joy-up, then release and press joy-right or joy-left.
If you pressed diagonal up and right didnt worked. You had to release.
Anyway the game for the year of its release was rather good, imho.

I've scanned the review and added it to HOL. Click on it for a bigger view: hol.abime.net/407/miscshotJudaz: Well done old chap, you're right! I just tried it now and seeing as you can jump, the review is a bit harsh! Was this jump information missing from the manual perhaps? Or did Stuart just not read it? I don't have the manual btw
