I've mentioned it to the editor of Edge, but the big poof hasn't said anything about it.

Have any of us actually agreed to this yet??? Don't get us to start something we can't finish...
I think it's a good idea but not prepared to fully commit - yet.

Don't worry, I only told him that it wasn't a certainty and it had only be mentioned. I was just trying to gauge the interest.

I'm more than happy to cover this in the current issue (will fit in nicely with the other 14 pages of Ocean coverage).
Give me a Pm with your ideas if you are planning to go ahead with it.

I've got it!
we do an updated version of Head Over Heels.
But we call it ARSE OVER TIP!
the arse character is wind powered for longer jumps, tip is the head and can jump high...
In case you hadn't guessed I'm bored just now and rambling...
Ah well back to those lovely pixels.

I would love to help out, but Ive been burned in the past by having my employer lay claim to artwork I've done outside of work, so I dont want to go through that again. Shame, because I would jump at the chance of helping out. - John

Your employer being the mighty 'Hog...or should I say...Gizmondo?
can I just ask one simple question...
Were you planning on telling your employer what you were doing and if you didn't then how the hell would he find out? You request a pseudonym if you did participate...and basically your employer no matter how many tatty pieces of paper he waves around does NOT own anything you do outside of work hours.
Don't ever be intimidated by anything these dickheads tell you, in their suits and ties...
Gizmondo?
Shite...I'll give it a year.
smells like the Saturn to me.

carefully wording myself here... Whilst I don't personally agree with the aforementioned clause (it's stopped me putting out freeware code/apps in the past) it is totally enforceable (and has been enforced) under European law (believe me I've looked into it just to have the argument!). Many companies have the same restrictive covenant which is why I looked into it - in the US it cannot be enforced. Despite not wearing a tie (except in the prospectus) would that make me a dickhead? - P.

I would imagine that Mr. Butler was speaking tongue-in-cheek there. Or something.

You floppy eared galoot.
Never show any civility to a pie eater...they don't know how to handle it.
Keep them down at heel.
God save us from Northampton fops...they just don't understand the wry Northern wit.
"I've got a hole in my pocket..."
"say no more...."
over to you Junior.
